The makers are not ready to reveal how much money was spent. There was also a buzz that Eros Pictures are not keen on continuing the shoot of the film as the film has already gone over budget and after the failure of Drona and the recession hitting the market, Eros has finally put the film on hold.
"These rumours have been floating for sometime but it makes no sense. We have put huge sets and we plan to shoot within two to three days. It will be a 40 day long schedule" informs director Anil Sharma.
Erected in Mumbai's Film City by art director Sanjay Dhabade, the set spreads over 10 acres of land with nearly 400 workers working on it.
The producers felt it was a better bet than hunting for location of their choice. "It's a huge historical film and the sets are massive. All the artistes including Salman and the heroine will be shooting for the film. We will also be picturisng songs for the film" he says.
Anil Sharma very recently shot a song worth three crores for the film at Mehboob Studios recently. "That was just one song there are many more to come. Since it's a historical we will have to do everything on a lavish scale" adds director Anil Sharma.
The film is written by Salman Khan and shows him as a warrior. Debuting opposite him is Salman's find Zarine Khan whom he discovered on the sets of Yuvvraaj.
